Cascade strolled through the store still racking her brain as to what would be a good birthday gift for her daddy. He was a man that prided himself on how he presented himself. Kingston Jacoby had everything any man could want. She didn’t want to make his gift too simple but she didn’t have the means to make things as extravagant as she would like. As Cascade stood at the cologne counter trying to pick a new fragrance she saw Dakota walk by the department store entrance.
“Shit!” Cascade said to herself.
She ducked behind the display to her left. After a second or two Cascade peered around the edge in order to determine if Dakota had seen her. It didn’t appear she had but now Cascade was curious as to where she was going. Dakota was marching along as if she was determined to get to her destination. Cascade quickly followed suit.
“That bitch can’t do better than me.”
No way would she allow her sister to be better than her. She had to remain daddy’s favorite. Dakota had been trying to be number 1 for the longest. Cascade would never give up that title. In her mind she came first. She must always come first. Cascade continued her stealthy pursuit trying to make sure Dakota didn’t one up her. She noted every store she went in. After Dakota left the mall, Cascade back tracked to each one of them making sure to purchase all the same items. She also found a nice lingerie store and picked up something. She’d made dinner reservations at his favorite restaurant for 6PM it was already 3PM she needed to head home to get ready.
Dakota, like her sister was nervous about the choices she’d made. She wanted to make sure her daddy got what he wanted. He provided for her and made sure she was taken care of all the time. His personal holiday was the one day she felt she could go all out to show him how much she appreciated him. And even though most of the money she spent had come from him, it didn’t matter. As they say it’s the thought that counts. Dakota wished she could have her daddy all to herself but that wasn’t how life worked. She had an annoying ass sister who thought she was better than her just because she was a year older and a nurse. Sure she took care of herself and didn’t rely on daddy. But daddy still did for her too. Dakota wished with everything in her she could get rid of Cascade but it would break their mother’s heart. After her trip to the mall Dakota went on pampering herself and preparing herself for that evening. She’d gotten her hair done, nails, facial and had a relaxing massage. All that was left was for her to wait for her daddy.
Kingston Jacoby was feeling like this had been his best birthday in years. His dinner was better than expected. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been showered with so many gifts. And all to his liking. The way he saw it, things could only get better. He hadn’t even seen Dakota yet and he was sure she would come through. After all, she asked for extra dough the other day to take care of him. When Kingston walked in the house the lights were dim. The air smelled of vanilla and cinnamon, no doubt the candles that were burning is what permeated the air. After entering the living room, he noticed a large gift bag, next to a medium sized gift bag, placed adjacent to a small gift bag. His favorite bottle of cognac was on display with two glasses waiting to be filled.
Dakota appeared in the doorway dressed in his favorite color.
“Start where you’d like daddy. Open the big one or the small one first.”
“I’ll start with the big one,” he stated.
Kingston opened his packages and though he wore a smile on his face he didn’t seem as excited as Dakota thought he should be.
“What’s wrong daddy? Don’t you like it?”
“I love them baby girl. Come here.”
“I thought you’d be more excited,” she said as she sauntered over to where he stood.
Kingston looked down at her 5’6” frame as he stood 6’2”. He admired the sheer green teddy she wore which accentuated her breasts. Her pouty lip was calling him. He bent over to capture it but she pulled away.
“No. tell me what I did wrong. I just knew out of everything you would love that Invicta watch. But you don’t seem too happy.”
Kingston pulled her into his arms placing his hands on the plump mounds behind her.
“I DO love them baby girl, it’s just.”
“Just what?”
“Well,” his voice trailed off.
“Well, what? Just spit it out.”
“Your sister got me all the same shit. I guess y’all really do think alike.”
“What? No that bitch has no imagination. She somehow figured out what I was getting you. She did this to undermine me.”
“Don’t worry about it baby girl. Daddy is here and he has something for you,” Kingston said as he pulled her close and captured those lips.
Dakota gasped as his strong hand caressed her body. But her thoughts were on Cascade.
“That bitch has got to go. She may be his wife but he will be my daddy for life,” Dakota thought.
